Etienne Brower hit a 3-pointer as time expired to help UMass re-gain the lead over the Rams entering halftime.
He led all scorers with 14 points, while Gary Forbes had 12 points and nine rebounds. Marcus Stout leads Fordham with nine points.
Ricky Harris continues to struggle for the Minutemen, missing all five shots, not including a 1-and-1 free throw attempt late in the half.
Foul troubles continue to plague the Minutemen. Dante Milligan and Tony gaffney each have three, while Brower and Luke Bonner have two apiece.
The Rams have outscored UMass by seven points at the foul line. Both teams have struggled from the field and with turnovers. UMass has no points from its bench in 22 minutes of play.
