Northeastern closed the gap to a two-goal lead, then the teams exchanged penalty shots, but the Minutemen held on for the 3-1 victory that was much-needed for the Mass Attack to stay in the playoff picture.
Goaltender Paul Dainton was sensational on the third period save for the one goal, keeping a second out of the net by sweeping it off the goal line at the last moment.
The Minutemen head to Maine next weekend for a two-game set in Orono.
