The game against Holy Cross at Fenway Park, which was originally scheduled for a noon start, suffered a 42-minute delay because the umpires pulled a no-show.
UMass assistant coach, and former third baseman, Matt Reynolds took off his jersey and made the calls behind home plate before an official umpire showed up after the second inning.
A Holy Cross coach patrolled the first base line to even the playing field.
